    Qualifications Necessary

    Knowledge & Skills:

    Mechanical Skills: Knowledge and practical experience of the processes/operations of assigned

    work area. Must be certifiable in Fork Truck operations, CDL, welding, and other applications.

    Technical Skills: Ability to weld, run hand plasma and cutting torch and to read and understand blueprints. Must understand shop order process, reporting and basic EMS system requirements. Must understand weld inspection, types/gauges of steel, and shop math

    Personal Requirements: Ability to work with minimum supervision. Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to work well with internal and external customers, good communication skills are a must, and ability to lift 50# with continuous lifting of lightweight materials. High energy team player. Willing to develop abilities to maximum potential, and to stay abreast of latest industry- related advancements.

    Education and Work Experience

    • High School Degree
    • Associate Degree from Vocational/Trade school, or equivalent work experience helpful

    Facilities Maintenance Technician – Full-Time

    Job Summary

    Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and various company properties. Under limited supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of such properties and performs related duties as assigned.

     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develops and manages an effective work schedule, making necessary scheduling changes to meet emergency repair needs

    Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Master Technician is responsible for acting as a technical expert and will offer training and technical support to the service department and the customers.     • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic equipment.

    Sewer Laborer/Operator Trainee

    The Town of Clinton is seeking an individual to assist in the operation, maintenance and repair in the Sewer Department as a Laborer/Operator Trainee. Under supervision, the successful applicant will install, maintain, and repair sewer mains, valves, pumps, and other sewer service equipment located at the Town’s Waste Water Treatment Plant or other above-ground/under-ground sewer infrastructure, as well as perform EPA / NJDEP required laboratory and process testing and any other duties as assigned.
     
    Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have clean driving history (CDL is a plus). A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position is required. Knowledge and experience with the varieties types of tools used in maintenance and repair of sewage treatment equipment preferred. This position requires the applicant to be available to work 24 hours a day, seven days per week as the need arises.
