    SOPHOMORE STUDENT COUNCIL:

    The Sophomore Student Council will be meeting today in the Media Center during 5th period.

     

    OPERATION SMILE:

    Operation Smile will be meeting today immediately after school in room F108. Food will be served.

     

    PROM VOTING:

    Seniors, please check your school email to vote for a prom theme. Voting deadline is December 13th.

     

    YEARBOOK CLUB:

    Yearbook Club is holding its next meeting on Wednesday, December 13th in the Media Center during all three lunch periods.

     

    CANDYGRAM SALES:

    Due to high demand, Candygrams sales will be extended through December 18th. Candygrams can be purchased in B206 or in the cafeteria during lunch periods. See Mr. Reina or Sarah Yagual with questions.

     

    HANDBALL GAME:

    Who thinks they can beat the staff in a handball game?  If you think you have a chance, sign up with Ms. Gillooly or Mr. Poznanski in the gym. A grade level tournament will be held on Friday, December 22nd from 10:40-12:00, in the gymnasium for all to see, with the winners challenging the staff.  All participants must be signed up prior to Monday, December 18th, or you will not be allowed to play.  

     

    MINDFULNESS MEDITATION:

    Feeling stressed or anxious? Come to our weekly classes for healthy coping skills dealing with anger, frustration and stress. The Mindfulness Meditation group will meet on select Thursdays during periods 5 and 6. Our first class will be on Thursday, December 14th, then again on December 21st. For more information please see Ms. Maria Santiago or Ms. Bridget Donovan.

     

    NJ SCHOLARS PROGRAM APPLICATIONS:

    Any junior interested in the New Jersey Scholars Program or New Jersey Governor's School, you need to see your guidance counselor to pick up an application. Applications will be due January 2nd - no exceptions.

     

    ALUMNI HOMECOMING GAME:

    On January 3rd, SCVTHS will host the first ever alumni homecoming basketball game. Admission is free for all alumni, current students with an ID and staff. Come out to support the girls’ and boys’ team!

     

    WALL OF PEACE:

    Any student interested in painting a brick on the Wall of Peace, please submit a proof of your drawing to either Bridget Donovan or Donna Lenox in the Linkages Office. 

     

    COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP:

    Attention all seniors. If you are interested in applying for a Community Service Scholarship, please see the 2018 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Poster located outside of the Pupil Services suite.  

     

    LINKAGES MUSIC & WRITING CIRCLE:

    The Linkages Music & Writing Circle will meet during 6th period every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Linkages Drop-In Center. The Music & Writing Circle is where students share their songs and writing in a respectful and supportive space. Feel free to bring an instrument if you play one. A guitar is always available for students who play. What you share can be your own original work or the work of artists you admire. All students, including those who just want to listen, are welcome!
