Tyler Caulfield, a junior in the Carpentry Program, has been selected as Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School’s Student of the Month for March 2020. Tyler is the son of John and Debi Caulfield of South Bound Brook.
SCVTHS Spanish Instructor Mr. Guillermo Reina nominated Tyler for the Student of the Month Award because Tyler is “A role model student. He is exceptional, always on target, shows great enthusiasm for the subject excellent participation, and is an amazing team player. Tyler used his carpentry skills to design and construct a guitar out of wood. His problem- solving and creativity skills are the finest. Kudos for Tyler!”
At SCVTHS, Tyler takes honors classes in English, math and history. While uncertain of what he would like to do in the future, Tyler has considered the possibility of becoming an engineer.
Outside of school, Tyler works at QuickChek in South Bound Brook, where he creates food orders, manages the coffee stations, as well as prepares soups and other bakery items. During his free time, Tyler enjoys relaxing by playing video games and watching shows on a variety of apps.
