PARCC testing will begin on Tuesday, March 28th, at 7:50 in the gym, for English 9 students. PARCC testing for students in Algebra I will begin on Wednesday, March 29th. Students should see their Math and English teachers for their testing locations and time.
Don't miss out on your last chance to get a Senior Shirt! Order forms can be found in the Main Office, Guidance or Ms. Francis' room - F109; or see a Senior Council member. Orders are due no later than March 31st.

Prom 2017, Hollywood Masquerade, will be held on Friday, June 2nd from 6PM-10PM at the Bridgewater Marriott. The cost is $85 per person. The first deposit of $45 is due by April 5th. Please bring your payment to Ms. Gillooly before April 5th. Please be advised that the deposit is non-refundable. See Ms. Gillooly or Ms. Prezioso for packets and questions.
PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN DAY:
We will be celebrating ‘Proud to be an American Day’ on Thursday, May 25th. The program will begin at 8:30AM and include a Posting of the Colors by the Law & Public Safety program, followed by musical selections by Theatre Arts students and then conclude with a tribute to USMC Captain Stanford Shaw, III and USMC Sergeant Nilton Cacoilo. Please contact Mr. Graf if you have any questions.
DUNK YOUR KICKS:
The NHSDA, NHS & NTHS honor societies will be holding a Dunk Your Kicks fundraiser starting today. Students are encouraged to bring in gently used sneakers/tennis shoes for donations. This is a grade level competition; each pair of sneakers is worth one point and the class with the most points will win a pizza party. Place your sneakers in the provided bins in the main lobby. Sneakers will be collected until Friday, April 7th. Please see Ms. Glennon, Mr. Jefopoulos, Ms. Patryn or Ms. Santiago if you have any questions.
Attention freshman and sophomore Interact members: there will be a Rotary Youth Leadership Program which will be a District Conference. The program will be held at the Shawnee Inn in PA on May 6, 2017 from 10AM (9AM departure) to 3PM (4PM arrival home). See Ms. Gotti in F102 if you have any questions.
STUDENT COUNCIL & ROTARY CLUB:
Rotary and Student Council will be providing "Snack Shack" Mondays through Thursdays during 8th and 9th periods. Snacks will be available for purchase in the Media Center.
BRANCHBURG SPORTS COMPLEX:
All students are welcomed to the Branchburg Sports Complex on May 5th. The cost is $31 per student, seats are limited, and permission forms are due back by March 27th. Please see Mr. Poznanski for permission forms down in the gymnasium.
Change strings, learn chords, & unwind with free guitar lessons at SCVTHS. Students are invited to attend individual guitar lessons during period 5 or period 6. Lessons will take place on selected Wednesdays in room D231. Guitars are provided. Joining is easy; please make an appointment with Mr. Schade at Mr.Schade@scvths.net.
LINKAGES MUSIC & POETRY CIRCLE:
We welcome you to join our Music & Poetry Circle sponsored by the LINKAGES Recreation Department. All SCVTHS students interested in sharing and listening to songs and poems in a respectful and creative space are welcome. The music and poetry we share can be any style (including rock, alternative, rap and hip-hop) and does not have to be your own original work. Guitars will be available for students who wish to borrow one. The Music and Poetry Circle will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month during 6th period in the LINKAGES Drop-In Center. Please SIGN UP in the LINKAGES Office.
All students have been issued a Student ID and should have it at all times. Students without an ID should be directed to Mrs. Santiago in the Main Office.
The replacement cost is $2.00.
