THE NATIONAL DANCE ARTS HONOR SOCIETY:
The National Dance Arts Honor Society will be collecting items to be donated to breast cancer patients from October 25th to November 3rd. Donations will be picked up by The United Breast Cancer Foundation. Please bring your items to the dance wing. Accepted items include: Clothing/Accessories, Shoes, Household Goods, Bedding, Linens, Towels, Electronics, Toys...etc. Please contact Ms. Sullivan for more information.
THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY:
NTHS Officer voting will take place on Wednesday, October 27th during 1st period. NTHS members should report to the cafeteria after attendance is taken. Please see Ms. Santiago in the high school main office with any questions.
Cosmetology is hosting an “Extension for a Cure” Fundraiser. Visit room F105 and F109 and get a hair extension put in for Breast Cancer Awareness month. All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
SENIOR STUDENT COUNCIL:
The Senior Student Council will be hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pumpkins will be sold for $5 until October 15th. You will receive your pumpkin on Monday, October 18th. Email photos of your pumpkin to email@example.com by October 26th. Voting will take place during lunch on Friday, October 27th. See Ms. Gillooly or Ms. Prezioso for more information. See flyer below.
SCVTHS BASEBALL TEAM:
Help support the SCVTHS baseball team. Purchase a cell phone wallet for $5. See Coach Strickhart or Coach O’Neill.
During October, Health Occupations/ HOSA club students is participating in the American Cancer Society’s, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Over the next few days, HOSA club members will be visiting classrooms and asking students if they would like to donate $1.00 for a Celebration of Life Birthday Card. All students and staff who choose to contribute will proudly have their birthday displayed (birth year optional of course) on our Celebration of Life Wall outside the guidance office. All money raised will be sent directly to the American Cancer Society to help in the fight against breast cancer.

The in school store will be open every Wednesday, during all lunch periods.
Keep it R.E.A.L.:
Linkages Presents, “Keep it R.E.A.L” (Rally Everyone Around Love). We invite students to join in on a contest to showcase their creativity by defining and creating something tangible to express “Keeping it R.E.A.L.” This may look like a logo, drawing, painting, graphic design, poetry, banner, t-shirt, PSA announcement, etc. Linkages will be giving a first, second, and third place prize which includes an IPad Mini, apple ear pods, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker. The deadline for the contest is October 25th. For more information, please see Ms. Palmer in Linkages. We encourage the SCVTHS community to promote healthy and supportive relationships; to help foster a school community of inclusivity, respect, and compassion; and to take accountability. We can do this by Keeping it R.E.A.L.
All students will be issued a Student ID and should have it at all times. Students who misplace an ID should be directed to the Main Office; the replacement cost is $5.00.
