SCVTHS Students Conduct Community Service Projects for American Spirit Contest
As part of their American Spirit SkillsUSA project, Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School Academy for Health & Medical Sciences freshman Aarush Kumar of Hillsborough, Milan Patel of Franklin Park and Jiya Mody of Martinsville coordinated multiple community service projects. At the end of March, the students will present the work they’ve done in the community at the New Jersey SkillsUSA Championships in the American Spirit contest.

At the 53rd Annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) held in Louisville, Kentucky from June 17-23, 2017, students from Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) earned a total of 6 medals.

SKILLSUSA CHAPTER AT SOMERSET COUNTY VOCATIONAL & TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES LOWE’S GRANT FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
Lowe’s and SkillsUSA have awarded a $14,010 grant to the SkillsUSA Chapter at Somerset County Vocational & Technical high School for the creation of a brick “Career Path” to connect buildings on campus.
