Working in our Finishing Department, you will prepare surfaces, paint and label a variety of electro-mechanical units and parts.     

    In this role, you will typically:

    • Prepare surfaces of units and parts in preparation for spray painting in accordance with specifications/work orders.
    • Select and mix paint material and apply paint with required equipment and technique.
    • Apply sealer to sub-assemblies and paint and finish parts and finished units
    • Use hand tools, tie wire units as per drawings, work orders, MIL-Specs or other work instructions.
    • Adhere to medical surveillance monitoring requirements and follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures.
    • Clean and maintain paint equipment.
    • Prepare and maintain required documentation.
    • Transport parts and units throughout department including work bench, paint booths, ovens and drying booth.
    • Select and make appropriate label and affix to parts. 

    We require:

    • Two (2) years precision spray painting experience;
    • Proficiency reading and interpreting blue prints;

    We currently have an opportunity for an entry level Machine Operator in our Gear Cutting department. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual gear cutting machines to produce parts for use in electro-mechanical actuation systems. You will work the day shift from 6:00a until 2:30p Monday through Friday at our facility in Whippany, NJ.

    In this role, you will typically:

    • Operate gear hobbing and gear shaping equipment to make gears from blueprints, drawings, and samples.
    • Observe operations of machine and verify accuracy of machine parts against drawings/Blueprints.
    • Deburr machined gears/parts either by hand or on automated machines.
    • Transport parts to and from machine
    • Read blueprint/drawings and job orders to determine gear cutting dimensions.
    • Install holding fixtures, cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movement, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
    • Use all types of precision measuring instruments to check and inspect parts.
    • Record and maintain inspection data (SPC) in applicable computer systems.

    Required Education and Experience

    • 1 year experience setting up and operating related gear cutting machines and/or coursework which includes reading and interpreting blue prints
    • Basic knowledge of GD&T
    • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 format blueprints

    • Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades/revisions to a broad

    • Perform testing on equipment, including but not limited to; insulation testing
    (megger testing), I-V curve testing, thermal imagery, torque tests, performance
    evaluations and shade reports via Suneye.
    • Quality assurance for all work performed on-site.
    • Troubleshoot PV system performance issues. Locate and isolate ground faults
    and arc faults.
    • Comply with regulatory and OSHA safety requirements (OSHA 1910).
    • Work with network functions, IP addresses and internet connections in relation to
    Data Acquisition Systems.
    • Ability to download log files from PVP & SMA inverters for submission to
    manufacturers for review.
