Overall employment of automotive body and glass repairers is projected to grow 6 percent over the next 10 years, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job opportunities should be best for jobseekers with industry certification and training in automotive body and glass repair.   The median pay for automotive body and glass repairers in 2020 was $44,190 per year or $21.24 per hour.

Students in the Auto Body Technology Program learn the fundamentals of damage repair, metal straightening, panel replacement and preparation for painting and refinishing. Students gain experience through demonstration, theory and hands-on shop projects, while working in a state-of-the-art facility.

Students who graduate from the Auto Body Technology Program can pursue a career as an Auto Body Technician as well as related careers. Graduates may also elect to further their education by attending college or a post-secondary technical institution. Some fourth year students may have the opportunity to earn credits for real world employment.
