Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (MEAM)

Established 2016, one of New Jersey's leading pre-engineering programs

Design it. Program it. Manufacture it. Test it.  Welcome to SCVTHS Engineering, where pre-engineering meets modern manufacturing.  By integrating college-prep engineering and design with hands-on mastery of computer automated manufacturing (CAM), 4-axis CNC machining, industrial automation, robotics and 3D printing, we prepare the next generation of engineers for the rigors of university and the realities of modern manufacturing.

Program Information

I know the SCVTHS Engineering program well.  Every year their graduates are amongst my best-prepared incoming students.

  • Tony D'Angelo
  • Coordinator - Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Raritan Valley Community College

When I look back at myself last year, if I would have told myself what I'm capable of now, I wouldn't have believed it.  Freshman year was awesome.

Congressman Leonard Lance visited our shop. Our students treated Mr. Lance to a real world production operation which included raw material handling and processing, primary machining on CNC mill & lathe, finishing operations on manual mill and finally, quality control. In addition, students showed off their emerging skills in robotics development and programing and ended the day by creating a 3D model of Mr. Lance.
