Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (MEAM)
One of New Jersey's Leading Pre-Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing Programs
Design it. Program it. Manufacture it. Test it. Welcome to SCVTHS Engineering, where pre-engineering meets modern manufacturing. By integrating college-prep engineering and design with hands-on mastery of computer automated manufacturing tools such as 4-axis CNC machining, 3D printing, industrial automation and robotics, we prepare the next generation of engineers for the rigors of university and the realities of modern manufacturing.

Paths to Success
Over 90% of our students pursue college degrees and have been accepted into many of the nation's top universities:

Here in SCVTHS Engineering, we emphasize self paced discovery, autonomy and collaboration. Our students are not just learning concepts, they are actively developing their own solutions to complex challenges.

Congresman Lance's Visit
Congressman Leonard Lance visited our shop. Our students treated Mr. Lance to a real world production operation which included raw material handling and processing, primary machining on CNC mill & lathe, finishing operations on manual mill, surface grinder and belt sander and finally, quality control. In addition, students showed off their emerging skills in robotics development and programing and ended the day by creating a 3D model of Mr. Lance.
Kayleen McCabe's Visit
During the first week of February, Kayleen McCabe of the DIY Network's Rescue Renovation visited our shop ... and LOVED IT!
SCVTHS Engineers 3D Print Face Shields
During the spring of 2020, students David Bilia, Will Mente, Ben Myshka and Ryan DelSordo as well as Mr. D and Janet Cantore-Watson manufactured and delivered over 3000 face shields to local organizations including Somerset County Office of Emergency Management, Morristown Memorial Hospital, Rutgers University and local churches.
