Somerset County Honors Theater Arts Program invites students in grades 6-11 from
Somerset and Hunterdon counties to learn more about one of the East Coast’s premiere high school acting programs.

The Theater Arts Program
For over 20 years, the Gifted and Talented Performing Arts Program has been recognized as one of the premier theater arts training programs on the East Coast. Our program offers rigorous professional preparation for students aspiring to build successful careers in the performing arts.
Under the guidance of industry-experienced instructors, students refine their technical abilities while cultivating their creative potential. Graduates of our program have gone on to thrive in diverse roles across Broadway, film, and television, as actors, directors, writers, producers, casting agents, and arts educators.

Students from schools in twenty-one communities participate in our
acting or acting with vocal music programs, receiving up to
16 high school honors credits (including physical education & health) annually.

All students are required to audition for acceptance into the program.
Our performing arts faculty encourage growth in individuality and creativity, helping students become more culturally aware and sensitive to the arts. Students wishing to continue their education in the performing arts are offered the opportunity to visit colleges, attend productions, as well as meet
with speakers, alumni and guest artists.
