Theater Arts Day: 12/12/2026!
Somerset County Gifted and Talented Honors Theater Arts Program invites students in grades 6-11 from Somerset and Hunterdon counties to learn more about one of the East Coast’s premiere high school acting programs!
When: Saturday, December 12th, from 11 am - 2 pm
Where: Somerset County Vo-Tech Acting Studios
What to Expect:
- An immersive demonstration of our studio training from our faculty of experienced working theater professionals
- Q&A with current students, faculty, and shop coordinator
- Workshops in acting, vocal music, and improvisation
- Learn how to apply for our Acting Program or Acting with Vocal Music Emphasis program!

Can't make it in-person? Join us on Zoom later that week for
Theater Arts Hour on 12/15/2026!

The Theater Arts Program
For over 20 years, the Gifted and Talented Performing Arts Program has been recognized as one of the premier theater arts training programs in the greater New York area. Our program offers rigorous professional preparation for students aspiring to build successful careers in the performing arts.
Under the guidance of industry-experienced instructors, students refine their technical abilities while cultivating their creative potential. Graduates of our program have gone on to thrive in diverse roles across the theater, film, and television industries, as actors, directors, writers, producers, casting agents, and arts educators.
Join our esteemed program and take the first step toward a successful artistic career.
Students from schools in twenty-one communities participate in our
acting or acting with vocal music programs, receiving up to
16 high school honors credits (including physical education & health) annually. Third-year students have the option to take class for 3 college credits as well!

All students are required to audition for acceptance into the program.
Our performing arts faculty encourage growth in individuality and creativity, helping students become more culturally aware and sensitive to the arts. Students wishing to continue their education in the performing arts are offered the opportunity to visit colleges, attend productions, as well as meet
with speakers, alumni and guest artists.
