Our college/career advising process includes the following steps:
- Students become aware of their career or college preferences through various career inventories and tests;
- Students discover their individual core themes that will assist them in making decisions about career opportunities and/or college placement;
- Students determine, with parent and counselor assistance, the particular career path or college to attend utilizing such computerized packages as “Zinch” and/or “SCOIR”;
- Other activities include a robust college visitation program, computers to assist in locating college and career opportunities, SAT/ACT test preparation services, assistance with job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing techniques, a college and career library and guidance with completing and mailing of all employment and/or college applications.
