On November 21st, Academy for Health & Medical Sciences sophomores Paul Kanyuch of Manville, Christopher Masiello of Hillsborough, Nabiya Chaudhry of Bridgewater and Rima Amin of Bridgewater, with the help of the Linkages Department (sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families) at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, held a student led presentation entitled A New Spin on Vaping.

During the presentation, students learned the dangers of vaping, while taking an informative quiz and playing the “Vaping Wheel of Truth.” Students who spun the wheel or took the quiz were awarded with a prize.

Linkages Substance Abuse Counselor Donna Lenox organized the event, while Linkages staff member Rose Murtagh created the “Vaping Wheel of Truth.” Lenox and Murtagh also commended the students on the presentation and their efforts in creating awareness on the dangers of vaping.
