William Hyncik, Jr.

The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) has designated January as School Board Recognition Month.  According to their website, “January 2020 is the annual School Board Recognition Month in New Jersey, a time to raise public awareness of the roles and responsibilities of local boards of education and to thank your community’s school board members for their efforts.”

William Hyncik, Jr., Board President of the Somerset Vocational & Technical School’s (SCVTS) Board of Education (BOE), was recently recognized for his dedication to community service. The NJSBA selected fifteen board members for this recognition stating, “All school board members are dedicated volunteers, but many are committed to service in addition to the valuable time they spend with their boards of education. Through this recognition, the NJSBA seeks to acknowledge board members who go the extra mile, by giving their time and talent to other organizations in addition to their board service.”

Mr. Hyncik said, “It is always a great honor to be recognized by one’s peers for one’s service. I have always tried to serve without an agenda and to work towards supporting those who are doing their jobs effectively. This includes teachers, parents and administrative leaders. Our goals are to make our community, society and the world a better place anyway we can.”
