SOMERSET COUNTY VOCATIONAL & TECHNICAL SCHOOLS DONATES TO OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Boxes of equipment to help fight the COVID-19 Virus donated by SCVTS to Somerset County

Some of the items SCVTS has donated to the Somerset County Office of Emergency Management.  

 

Somerset County Vocational & Technical Schools (SCVTS) recently gathered and donated items to the Somerset County Office of Emergency Management, in an effort to help fight shortages created by the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus).  Some of the items donated were:

- 300 safety glasses

- Approx 9000 gloves

- 220 N95 masks

- 375 other masks

- 30 isolation gowns

- 7 pairs of goggles

- 1 face shield

- 7 bottles of Purell

- 7 containers of disinfecting wipes

 

“All teachers participated in the initiative, with special thanks to Steve Boettger, our Director of Buildings & Grounds, for collecting and boxing items for Somerset County OEM. The items were then transported by our School Resource Officer from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office,” said SCVTS Superintendent Dr. Chrys Harttraft. Dr. Harttraft went on to add that the donation was, “truly a collaborative effort in support of our health professionals working to save the lives of Somerset County residents.”
