This holiday season, the students and staff at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School participated in various events to bring joy to those who are less fortunate.

In November, SCVTHS held its 21st Annual Holiday Food Drive, generating enough food baskets to support 12 local families in need with a complete Thanksgiving meal including a turkey, all the trimmings and a fresh pie created by the school’s Culinary Arts students.

In addition, throughout the month of November, students in the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Club and Health Occupations Program collected a total of 61 winter coats during their Jersey Cares Winter Coat Drive.

In December, the annual Cosmetology Holiday Cut-A-Thon & Toy Drive was conducted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All toys donated were purchased online and shipped directly to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Center.
