Ms. Patricia Morales and Ms. Peggy Prezioso are known for their diligence, caring approach and unwavering dedication to the whole school community.

Director of Special Services Ms. Maria Johnson stated, “I am so happy that Ms. Morales and Ms. Prezioso are receiving the Educational Support Professional of the Year Award. They have been working tirelessly to maintain the health and safety of the SCVTHS students and staff since COVID-19 arrived back in March 2020. Each morning, they monitor the temperatures of the students, communicate with parents, staff, students and 18 plus sending districts on a daily basis, while monitoring daily needs of students and staff. They were also instrumental in preparing our Restart and Reopening Plan, providing detailed instructions for reopening the school safely and within the guidelines that we were provided by the state.

Principal Hector Montes added, “Ms. Prezioso and Ms. Morales are counted on to make tough decisions on a daily basis during a pandemic. Their diligence is the reason we are still open for business. I'm grateful for their concern for our students and staff. They feed off each other and are kept abreast of the CDC guidelines because of their self-motivation to perfect their craft."

Morales and Prezioso, both graduates of Temple University, credit their success and keeping the school open to the SCVTS Administration, Linkages staff and school physician Dr. Ehrlich. “The communication and assistance is very appreciated,” said Ms. Prezioso. Ms. Morales added, “Receiving this award is very touching. It couldn’t have come at a better time; during such a stressful school year.”

Ms. Prezioso has been an employee at SCVTS for eleven years. Currently, she is also serving as a SCVTHS Junior Class advisor. Her favorite part of her job is “being able to help students without easy access to medical care.”

Ms. Prezioso is a resident of Lebanon Township, where she resides with her two cats. She is also the proud mother of three children. In her spare time, she enjoys antiquing and gardening.

Prior to becoming school nurse, Ms. Morales served as the SCVTHS Health Occupations instructor for five years. She has been in the district for over 23 years. Ms. Morales' favorite part of her job is that “it is always different, every day.”
