NAVY SEALS VISIT SCVTHS

BRIDGEWATER – On March 21st, Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) students and staff were given a presentation by two active-duty United States Navy SEALs.  Organized by SCVTHS Social Studies Instructor & Army Veteran Mr. Ed Graf, the SEALs discussed their experiences, duties, and responsibilities as some of the most elite military personnel.

“The SEALS were flown up here to see the students just for this program the morning of, then they were flown directly back to their base in Virginia,” stated Mr. Graf.  “All Navy personnel who were present stated that they were overwhelmed with the enthusiasm from our students.  The students were focused, asking questions of the SEALS for 90 minutes straight-through with no pause.”

Mr. Graf added, “The SEALS stated that they were very impressed and wanted to visit our school because of how we honored fallen Navy SEAL Matthew Kantor and the Gold Star Families at Proud to be an American Day.  Additionally, they stated that it meant a lot to them that Matthew Kantor's plaque was on our Wall of Honor.  This was an exceptional and unique experience.”
