SCVTHS STUDENTS WIN AT 2023 NJ FBLA STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Earlier this month, Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School students competed against other students from around the state as part of the 2023 New Jersey FBLA State Leadership Conference. Of the fourteen SCVTHS competitors, nine received top ten placements, and seven finished first in their respective competitions. Additionally, Academy for Health & Medical Sciences junior Sasha Kapur of Bridgewater was installed at the state leadership conference as next year's New Jersey FBLA State Parliamentarian.

The list of SCVTHS students who received awards is as follows:

First Place
Business Financial Plan - Ananya Kabbinad of Hillsborough and Sohum Shah of Hillsborough

Parliamentary Procedure - Maggie Chen of Hillsborough, Avi Gupta of Warren, Sasha Kapur of Bridgewater, Pari Malla of Branchburg, and Janvi Patel of Hillsborough

Fifth Place
Client Service - Avantika Malla of Branchburg

Sixth Place
Impromptu Speaking - Manu Datta of Hillsborough

The first-place state winners are now eligible to compete in Atlanta, Georgia, at the upcoming National FBLA Leadership Conference in June.
