SCVTHS FOOD DRIVE DELIVERS HOLIDAY CHEER

The students and staff at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School recently held their 24th Annual Holiday Food Drive. As a result of their generosity, 14 food baskets were delivered before Thanksgiving to SCVTHS families in need.  The baskets included a turkey, stuffing mix, gravy, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, and other traditional trimmings. In addition, a pie baked by students in the culinary arts program accompanied each delivery.

This year, the class that contributed the most to the Food Drive was the Senior Class. Their efforts earned each member of the class a cookie as a reward.

The Food Drive was sponsored by the SCVTS chapter of SkillsUSA. “We are thankful for the generous support from the school community that allows us to share with our SCVTHS families each year” said club advisor Michelle Fresco.
